UK Coach Awards nominees invited to Short List Announcement to be made at Great Days Out
The organisers of the UK Coach Awards are inviting all nominees in this year’s Awards scheme to hear the announcement of the short listed entrants at the Great Days Out on 25th February.
This is the first year that a shortlist announcement event has been organised, reflecting the increased recognition and importance of the UK Coach Awards. Appropriately, the announcement will be made in Manchester, where the awards presentations will take place at a glittering ceremony in the city centre in April.
The Short List Announcement will be made at the Great Days Out, to be held at EventCity next to The Trafford Centre on Saturday 25th February. UK Coach Awards Chairman Allan Edmondson said, “We are pleased to be working with Visit Manchester, organisers of the Great Days Out, to host the shortlist announcement at an event which many coach operators will already be attending.”
Great Days Out is the biggest one-day group travel show outside London at which group travel organiser and coach operators can get ideas for trips across the UK & Ireland.
Edmondson added: “Visit Manchester works closely with coach operators to help attract more business from the sector to the Greater Manchester area, so it is fitting that the city should not only host the first short list announcement as well as the annual award ceremony itself.”
Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said: “Great Days Out is the UK’s premier one-day group travel show. As such, it is an excellent platform at which to announce the shortlist for this year’s UK Coach Awards – which is an incredibly important element of the groups travel market.”
The shortlist will be announced in the Talks Area at Great Days Out at 1.15pmand all nominees are invited to attend, along with press and group travel organiser delegates at the Fair. Coach operators can also bring a coach load of their key group organiser clients to the Great Days Out and give them a free familiarisation trip to venues en-route to the show on one of 17 specially arranged itineraries arranged by Visit Manchester. Two overnight itineraries to Manchester and Blackpool are also available.
